Music Therapy

This is a form of therapy that uses music as a healing and therapeutic tool. It is divided into two main parts: receptive and active. In the receptive part, patients focus on listening to selected pieces of music. This aspect of music therapy allows for emotional experience of music, which can provoke reflection, relaxation, and also stimulate various psychological and emotional areas. In turn, the active part of music therapy involves playing simple instruments. This form of interaction with music allows patients to directly express themselves through sounds and rhythm, which can be especially helpful in communicating emotions that are difficult to express in words. Active music creation also allows for the development of social skills, coordination, and increases self-efficacy and self-esteem. Music therapy, as a comprehensive and multidimensional method, can be an effective tool supporting the treatment process in a wide range of emotional and mental problems.
