Systemic Family Therapy

Based on the premise that a person’s problems are deeply rooted in the context of the family relationships in which they live in. Therapists use this method to understand the patterns of communication and interaction between family members, recognizing that changes in one part of the family system can affect the whole. This therapy focuses on identifying and changing unhealthy patterns of behavior and communication within the family, promoting mutual understanding and support. Therapists work with families to develop new, healthier ways of interacting that can contribute to the better functioning of each family member and the family as a whole. In this approach, therapy is a collaborative process in which the family and therapist work together to achieve desired changes.
